Oh my goodness! I'm sure you've been hearing all about how the Scarlet Puppynickel is roaming the world committing dastardly deeds.
JD and Max blogged about it a few days ago, and lots of other puppies have since told their story about how the Scarlet Puppynickel stole into their homes, destroyed things, and then disappeared without a trace...
Well, I have to report that the Scarlet Puppynickel has also visited me - and I managed to get a picture of him!
A few days ago, I discovered, to my horror, that he had caused a bookalanche...
... and I knew he'd be back, because he clearly hadn't had time to finish chewing the books before they all fell down.
So I lay in wait, backed up my faithful friends Rat, Pink Elephant, Grey Elephant and Pink Thing Toy. He arrived, as we knew he would, and immediately set to chewing the books. We waited until he had moved on to chewing the rug, and then we got his picture!
As you can see, the Scarlet Puppynickel is a master of disguise, and looks almost exactly like me!
He ran off immediately, of course, and I couldn't catch him. He's obviously studied under Houndini and is also a master of escape.
Gosh, he's such a romantic, dashing figure, I almost hope he steals into my home again... I don't think I should be worried... should I...?

Sasha- What a brave puppy you are; Calvert and I are so glad to hear you were not hurt during this terrible ordeal. We too are baffled by how quickly the puppynickle is able to travel all over the world. Being that you’re so brave, we are sure you have nothing to worry about. I wish I could say the same for Calvert, being only 4months old he’s still a bit shaken and is slowly getting back to normal. He’s taken to stacking his beds up against the front door and hopes that will be enough to keep the puppynickle out! I will tell him that he is now in Australia; I am sure this will calm him.
Please continue your brave pursuit and keep us posted!
Sasha - this puppynickel must be stopped! We could just about take his n'ear do well dasterdly deeds when all was at stake was the possibility of us being blamed in error, but the thought of you - sweet Sasha - falling for his rougish ways..... Well, that's the final straw! This feind must be stopped! You losing your heart to this miscreant blaggard is too much for us to bear!
We are impressed at how clever you were to get a photo of this puppynickel - he is indeed the master of disguise as we thought he looked everso pretty, just like you, he he! Tail wags - JD and Max.
Ooh, I think that Puppynickel visited our house this morning because mom found some chewed up stuff and she had the nerve to blame me!! I'm glad you got his picture too. Good work Sasha!
Sasha, this is Sasha from the US, you are a dashing figure, quite handsome. I wish this dashing Puppynickel would visit my home(wink).
licks and sniffs, Sasha
Hello Sasha, what a brave puppy you are. I am so glad you were not harmed during this ordeal! I gather there is a rumour doing the rounds that this puppynickel might be a cat, but I reckon that could just be a rumour put about by dog-kind to discredit kitties! BFN - Jimbo.
Goodness Sasha! You are a very brave puppy - and what quick thinking too to get a picture! I am glad to see that your posse of friends helped - I would think a girl needs back up at times like that! I wonder if the puppynickel will visit you again....? :) Nemo.
