We now return you to your regular broadcast

You may have noticed there have been rather a few too many cat photos on my blog recently, and not enough of me. I shall now rectify the situation.

Just me hanging with my Flea.

Peek-a-boo...!

There, that's better, isn't it?

Wordless We... what???

I was going through the photos on my human's camera, and look at what I found...

What's going on? Why are there pictures of my friend Jasper in my human's camera? When did she visit Lily and Jasper and why didn't she take me?

Well... sure, I probably would have chased them... but only to play with them... honest!

And why are there no pictures of Lily?

I'd like to thank the Adogemy...

Oh my goodness, I'm speechless! I've won Readers' Choice for the Cracker Dog Insane Terrier group in Mango Minster 2010!

I'd like to start by thanking myself my human, for her constant carelessness in leaving things around for me to practice on love and support, myself the relentlessly wonderful Mango, for creating such a great competition, and myself all you lovely Readers out there, for having the good taste generosity to vote for me!

Here's my entry photo:

I'd also like to thank Fergie, Gretchen and Jazzi for providing me with such stiff competition!

Thank you!

Sea dog

Last week my human and I went to Altona Dog Beach. It's an unrestricted off-leash beach - all year round! Some of my friends from the dog park recommended it, so we decided to try it out. It's a lot closer to home than Brighton Dog Beach, and it turned out to be much, much bigger!

This picture gives you an idea of how big it is - only it's not wide enough - the beach is really, really long. And the tide wasn't all the way out yet, so it also goes further out than in this picture. You might need to click on the picture to biggify it.

It's full of little sandbars, and lots of little pools and streams to splash through.

See!

It was quite windy the first day we went.

I find the wind quite conducive to contemplation.

There's a shipwreck to explore.

Lots of friends to meet...

It's ideal for practicing my Schnauzer Stance...

... and for frolicking!

We enjoyed it so much we went back again.

The first dog I met the next time we went was a little black Schnauzer called Jackson. We liked each other instantly, and got right down to playing.

In the course of casual conversation, we discovered something very exciting...

... we came from the same breeder ...

... and we have the same father ...

... Jackson is my half-brother!

I met my brother!

I love the beach!
